Reaching New Employees

Safeway’s marketing department asked Squillante
Studios to redesign its intranet (corporate employee
website). One significant problem with the existing
site was content overload which resulted in users
quickly disengaging from the material. To solve this
problem, Squillante Studios created an unexpected

and involving experience using video and interactivity
to give the site a sense of discovery. Complex
corporate content was contrasted with interesting
and fun facts about the company. The result was a
user experience that kept new employees engaged
while still relaying pertinent information.
